Zano Execution Layer (ZEL)
Testnet only
ZEL is currently available only on testnet. Mainnet is not live. Use test assets only; testnet state may be reset.
Zano Execution Layer (ZEL) is a public, EVM-compatible Layer 1 connected to Zano. Zano remains the confidential base layer; ZEL provides public smart-contract execution.
Network
The network selector is set to Testnet; Mainnet is disabled. Network access is the reference for chain identifiers and endpoints.
Start here
- Build an application: follow the developer quickstart, then review EVM and contracts.
- Integrate bridging: read the bridge overview and Bridge API.
- Understand the boundary: read Zano and ZEL, the asset model, and the privacy boundary.
- Inspect the implementation: use the architecture reference for core modules and signer internals.
- Operate infrastructure: start with operations.
Consensus validators and bridge signers on the active testnet are team-managed. Publishing operator documentation does not open validator applications or an external contribution process.
Unconfirmed deployment details remain marked for the team to fill. See network access for current connection information.
